Well. Ya see. It’s like this.

Sometimes you just need to say “Bugger”.

Now, I’ve been an exponent of research for some time.
Get the references right, that sort of thing.

Anyway, some of the documents I have been researching refer to an article written sixty one years ago, in a medical journal of the time.

Yep. After a bit of searching, on the old inter-web-a-ma-bob, I found a copy in an Antiquarian shop.
No. They don’t sell fish tanks! So I bought it!

Thus, reading through the fusty pages it would seem that quite a few of the references I have been referring to, written by others, have been quoted incorrectly in other documents, that I thought were correct, if that makes sense.
I think they have then been copied / referred to by others who have taken the reference as being true, without checking.
It would seem that this info. is believed to be fact when it’s not, a bit like Chinese whispers, hence my previous statement, “Bugger”.

So now, armed with the correct information, I can go and re-write a whole section of my book.

PS. The book is as old as me. Not sure I look as good, but I definitely smell a bit fusty around the edges.
